a to z

A. Age: 22! and, yes, I do feel old... even though I know im not.

babble..

right now, K is on his way back from Houston.. picking up his car. He had to have it worked on while he was at work, and had to go pick it up after...
I got off at 7:00 tonight, on what should have been a 'paid holiday'. i also worked last saturday, and sunday. I am so ready to see him tonight. To talk about his new job, tell him about database issues and things that, now in retro- can seem funny to look back on. . . . now that im not in panic mode.

I am exhausted, and extremely blessed.
so blessed to have a job, that asks me to stay late, to work longer, because i can be trusted to get the job done properly; for my amazing love to finally find a job that it seems that he can be happy at.

Today while I was on lunch I went and looked at a new 'potential' first house for me and Kyle. Its so hard not to get my hopes up, because I really fell in love with the house.. I could see me and Kyle making breakfast in the kitchen, having bbq's with friends, and even having kids there. I already have it decorated in my mind. I could see us staying there for the next 20 years.. and it is getting really hard to not get attached to.
Now im just hoping that what we are planning for and praying about... is in His plans too. That it is where we need to be. That God will help us, and our little family grow there.
If thats not where we need to be though, I know where ever we end up will be good :)

Today was long. This whole weekend, has been long. We had a visit from my brother-in-law and Erin. We didn't see our visitors for about a total of 2 hours while they were in all weekend... with everything going on, and with personality's that clash - this was probably best.
My sweet puppy, Clutch, also turned 2. He received all kinds of new toys to destroy, and extra treats. Next weekend is my birthday, and i'll be turning 22. There are plans to go to Houston, im not sure what the plans are once we are there though. Im hoping that we will be able to ... from the sounds of work just before leaving tonight, it seems that i will be there again this coming weekend too.

as for now, it is time for a bubble bath, a glass of wine and to light some candles. I just want to relax.. and then go to sleep after whispering sweet-nothings to my soul-mate.

--written on January 29th--
I woke up this morning to sweet kisses from my husband. He held me for a long while before asking what I'd like to order to our room for breakfast this morning. Not 10 minutes after ordering, I had scrambled eggs, an English muffin, fresh fruit, and orange juice brought to bed. This first anniversary weekend has been so good to us. We made reservations at the Omni Resort. It is absolutely breath taking.
When we arrived we went up to our room to start getting ready for dinner. we came about a hour earlier than expected though so we had some time to kill. I was in the bathroom doing some makeup touch ups when someone knocked on the door. The man knocking, had a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. It's like something you read about. I was in heaven. For dinner my hubby took me to eat at my favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot. It was so good, as always. I love the atmosphere and the experience. It is a fondue restaurant and it's so fun. If you've never done fondue, you should. I love it. For dessert, I had the flaming turtle. If I could only have one dessert, once a year. That would be it. De-lish.

Right now though, we are laying in bed. Just loving each other. Waiting for 12:30 which is when we will have our couples massage. I. Can't. Wait.
I'm so blessed to have him. I can't imagine where I would be without him. And that's something I don't even want to think about. He is my best friend. He puts up with my complaining and gives me massages. He takes care of me when I am sick. And if the first year of marriage is the hardest, baby, bring on the rest. This has truly been the best year of my life.

Just get away

getting away can do wonders. & Kyle and I did just that right after work Friday. We went west to the cutest little town on the outskirts of Austin called Bee Cave. You know of those things that refresh the soul? The scenery here did just that. So beautiful. and if we could, you can bet we would move there tomorrow.
everywhere you looked you could see forever. . we stayed in a new hotel, and paid the price as if it had been there for 20 years.

and who can help but love this?! i wish that it would have been open when i stopped by

the best part though, was the amazing outdoor mall. i literally stayed in Barnes & Nobel and read a whole book. it was just such a relaxing time. and just beautiful

this little get away was so nice.. hope everyone had a refreshing weekend. i would recommend this place to anyone. it was great. And getting away from your home town, just for something new....
so worth it

Hello, 2011

It has been a while since I have made a post on this lovely blog, and in the few short months of my absence there has been so much excitement and change. In 26 days, it will be one year since my best friend also became my husband. I really don't think that we have had one single fight. and in this coming year we plan on finding land or a house to BUY. I am stoked. and feel so blessed. I have an amazing mom-in-law who has allowed us to live with her to get some debts paid off (we paid for all of our wedding...) and get a small savings started. She isn't expecting us to leave by any means and would like us to stay as long as we need, but I don't want to become a burden. We also have been considering starting our own little family about a year after we have a house. once we really figure out what all can go to savings. Savings is huge to me. I always need something to fall back on. even if its $10 a month, it would be so worth it to me. Also, for 2011, I am wanting for K and I to go somewhere. take a real vacation. ive never been on one. i want to go snowboarding, or to the beach, or take a cruise... anything where i can relax by a fire, or get a massage on the beach.. i wont be to picky ;)
in all of the crazy, that was the end of the year for work... I was so blessed yet again. I was offered a promotion to be team lead :) since then I have been very busy. Doing all kinds of planning for first quarter and getting alot of things re-organized.
This Christmas was also probably my favorite yet. I love ALL of Kyles family. some, yes, can be more annoying than others... its like that in every family. but i can say that i really hated having to leave. they are amazing

i need to make some changes for this little blog. give it some love. its a new year, and it needs a new look.
also, hopefully i can post again sometime sooner than my last
